Jesus came to the earth to destroy the works of the devil.

Deliverance is not a popular subject, You have to be willing to sacrifice certain parts of your life style if necessary to help people to be delivered from demons. There will be opposition to deliverance and persecution from other Christians  and non Christians as well as demon forces at work try to stop you.

1 John 3:8 For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Most people think that He came to save them. Salvation is just part of what Jesus Christ accomplished on earth. Jesus Christ bruised satan' s head, led captivity captive, divided the spoil, cast out satan, judged prince of world, spoiled principalities and powers, abolished death, put all things in subjection, etc.


You may wonder if satan has already been defeated by Jesus then why we still have to fight him?

It is because  Satan is free to roam the earth until he is bound up for a thousand years. Until then, he will try to steal kill and destroy us if we let him. Satan has been robbed of his power over us, but if we are ignorant to what Jesus has done for us and don't pick up our armor and fight him he will deceive us.

Does God work through us ?

Jer. 51:20 Thou art my battle ax and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms.


God doesn't fight all our battles in life because he has chosen to work through His disciples. God has put the responsibility of the world in the hands of the Christian body. God is our leader in the war and we are in a battle. The battle is against Satan and his multitude of evil forces. God sent his only son Jesus  to destroy the works of the enemy. Jesus has given us his victory over all our life but we have to pick up our weapons of warfare and battle for our lives. If we don't fight in this battle, we will be defeated by satan, and live defeated lives.

God has chosen to work through us as well as on His own. God is Lord over all  He doesn't have to obey our commandments or orders; we obey His. God will not answer prayer that is not scriptural. A lot of what is said in the Christian world is man's thoughts and not God's thoughts. This is often the case when we are pray fully fighting the battles in the heavenlies. Our prayers must always line up with the word of God.

To get rid of demons in Christian lives we do deliverance in the name of Jesus as we acknowledge that Jesus is our deliverer, but witch doctors and warlock's also claim to do exorcism's but they do it by following Satan and want payment or something else for their service which usually only removes a weaker spirit and places a astronger one in its place leaving the person in a worse state than then he started. Gods gifts are all free and God is all Good but Satan wants something in return and comes only to steal kill and destroy.

Christians can cast out demons in the  Name of Jesus Christ (Mark 16:17; Luke 10:17-20). Jesus is our deliverer and as we rely on him and ask him for discernment he will help us to know what we are dealing with and any blockages that may need dealing with, we are just the vessels Jesus works through and all the Glory is his as the person gets set free.
