Deut 11:26-28 "See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse: A blessing, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and a curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside from the way that I am commanding you today, to go after other gods that you have not known.

To follow and love God means that as soon as you learn of something you do or have that is an abomination to God you remove it from your life immeadiatly ( like with sin ) as you love the Lord God and do not wish to have anything in your life that could hinder or restrict your spiritual walk keeping you from walking in the fullness of Gods blessings and plan for your life.

You may sometimes wonder how it is sometimes that some Christians can seem to have more than their fair share of problems in life and you might think that it seems like they are cursed and you could be right.

So to expose some of the areas that satan can stop or interfere with you living life victoriously ive listed below so we can stop satan getting a foothold in our lives.

One of the biggest ways we can be cursed is by acknowledging or worshipping false gods which include cults and new age which takes us to the occult.

We can unknowingly have ornaments objects CD's records books etc in our homes that we are not aware of that can bring in a curse.

If you think you may have objects that are not of God in your home you may wish to remove them, the bible tells us the best way is to burn them. If you cant burn them then break them and remove them from your house.

When looking for any objects in your home always be led by the Holy Spirit who will bring items to your mind or you may just get a feeling about something that it is not right. I did this when I realised I had ornaments in my house i'd brought home from the honey moon of my first marriage that were figurines of gods and goddess's and other ornaments from Greece that I cant even recall now but I remember getting rid of quite a few things.

There was one picture I had bought and had framed I had felt uncertain about and as it had cost a lot to have put in a nice frame I couldnt part with it, so decided in my mind it was ok. I kept this picture for quite a few years all through that first marriage untill I was by myself and a christian friend came round who was honest enough to say she felt it wasnt right. I looked up images like that one on the internet and found it was indeed an abomination to my Lord so I took the picture and burned it.

I have to add here that doing a house clearance didnt go down very well with my first husband from the ornaments brought back from our honeymoon, so if you are in a situation where items belong to someone else too, please get permission or be wiser than I was and suggest an update in your ornaments (Women, you know how to do this!!!) or if they still wont budge then pray over the object annoint with oil and command the demons behind that object to be bound in Jesus name.

Other Things to look for:- Any books or ornaments (idols) that pertain to false religions, cults, the occult (The word "occult" comes from the Latin term occultus, which refers to hidden or secret things.) spititism and anything pertaining to satans kingdom. Good luck charms or ankhs- (a cross shaped like a T with a loop at the top, used in ancient Egypt as a symbol of life). Astrological symbols and other jewellery with a hex sign. Hex signs date back to the pre-Christian era in Europe, when symbols and designs derived from or pertaining to the runes first appeared on buildings to invoke magical powers, either to hex or bring about good fortune. These can cause interference to deliverance. Hex signs are popular nowadays on clothing designs, china,objects and jewellery.Any jewellery given to a person by someone involved in witchcraft will have curses and /or bondage in them.

I found only recently that I had two porcelain ornamental dishes that had hex designs on them and I immeadiatly broke them and put them in the wheelie bin, These do not look sinister in any way and i would reccommend looking the images up on the internet just to see if you recognise if you have any. Symbols such as mexican sun Gods, idols, incense- (this is mostly manufactured by devotees of the Hare Krishna cult and as such they have dedicated the incense to the demon god of the Hindus). Buddahs are popular today with people rubbing their tummys thinking it will bless them financially when infact a demon lies behind that idol unaware to them. Hand carved objects from Africa or the orient, anything connected with astrology, horoscopes, fortune telling, rock and roll music meaning the heavy metal bands like AC/DC,Anthrax, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Danzig, Exodus,Possessed Grim Reaper, Satan, Sodom, and Celtic Force, to name a few. witches masks and fetishes used by witch doctors Graven images of God. ouija boards or other occult paraphernalia.

It is good also to pray over new homes because if the previous owners have dabbled in Ouija boards,witchcraft or other aspects of the occult,  or involved in bondages to sin, then there is every possibility that evil spirits could be harbouring that land. These spirits can cause trouble to new owners.

Remember that any prayers offered to anyone or anything other than God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are prayers to demons. These are often answered in the form of curses, and demons do respond to those who ask of them.
