Lay It All Down at The Foot of The Cross and Walk with
God.
There is Power in the Spoken Word; In Jesus name we can command fear, worry, confusion, sickness, anxiety to go.
Words spoken are live and powerful and you can speak life or death, curses or blessings by your words into your
life. You can choose to complain or you can be thankful, you can gossip or you can choose to stay out of
it. Gossip is so destructive. You can choose to be angry or peaceful, you can discourage or encourage
someone.
One of my favorite quotes from the bible that I like to say is;
|
Psalm 141:3 “Set a guard over my mouth O’ Lord, keep watch over
the door of my lips”
|
I was reading an e-mail last week about a little boy whose mum died. After that, he went down hill with his
marks at school. His teacher took time to encourage and praise him and make him feel special. His school marks
started to go up dramatically and he eventually became a doctor. That was all because a teacher took the time to
speak words of praise and encouragement in love to him.
Do you want to make a difference in life, to help others become all they are meant to be in Christ Jesus? Are
you willing to lay down your life so Jesus can live through you and make a difference to many other lives?
|
Rom 12:1-2 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's
mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, this is your spiritual act
of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing
of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is, his good, pleasing and
perfect will.

Our purpose in life is to know God and walk with him, it is a lifetime commitment and the big question is, are
you willing to pay the price to be his disciple? Can you endure hardship, persecution, leave behind family and
friends, be willing to die to self and live for God, you may say you can but when God comes to test you, can you
still give over every part of your life to him and say “Yes Lord, here I am, I will go”.
Gods plan is always to do us good, God is always faithful, If we follow him, trust in him and praise him in all
things, even when the situation does not look good from a natural point of view, or worked out the way we want, we
will see at the end of it all that Gods plans were really so much better, and it was worth going through the
situation to get to the blessings. We need to let God rather than rely on ourselves. God never promised us an easy
life.
|
2 Tim 4:5 But you, keep your head in all situations, endure
hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.

God teaches us through troubles and disaster, testing us to strengthen our faith. Peace always comes when we
rely and trust in God.
If you are sold out to God and working the works of Jesus you will find that Satan will attack you. Even more,
he will try and stop you as you are a threat to his kingdom. We need to be steadfast and resist the devil we must
expect life to be a battle, but we will have victory too. Jesus didn’t get spared the cross; we cannot expect to
have an easy life. Through all our experiences in this life, God is teaching us, testing us, strengthening us and
enabling us to become more like him with more compassion, understanding and faith. If we have faith we will know
that all things work together for good for those who believe. Hopefully one day we will all be able to say:
|
2 Tim 4:7-9 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the
race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord,
the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day and not only to me, but also to all who have longed
for his appearing
