Multiple Personality Disorder (MPD) is a condition where two or more personalities occupy the same person.

Not everything is a demon, we need to be careful we do not do more harm than good in helping people to get free.

MPD happens in childhood when trauma such as physical, mental, and emotional abuse or abuse in satanic rituals is suffered by that child. The child develops a coping method and quite often tries to imagine it is someplace else while the abuse happens and they try to disassociate from what is happening to them. By doing this they develop an alternative personality which copes with the pain and trauma so that they can carry on living their life. We call these alternative personalities “alters”.

The main personality is often not aware of these alters and finds that it can loose time in a day because an alter has come to the forefront and taken over, or the main personality may act with different emotions that wouldn’t be their normal personality. This is because the alters are different personalities with a name, age, and can even be a different sex to the main personality and therefore have an identity of their own. They are there to hold on to the pain and trauma.

To handle the abuse the child may need more alters to cope with the pain as it becomes  too much for one alter to contain, These alters can switch over as to who comes to the forefront at any given time but control will go back to the main personality. This is called “switching “and their can be numerous alters depending on the amount of abuse suffered.

Because the person can loose time in a day when switching occurs this is one of the signs that shows us we are dealing with an alter or several as the case may be.

When the child grows up if this coping mechanism breaks down then they can hear voices, and have feelings of suicide and depression.
In satanic rituals an alter may be intentionally created to act as a trigger to get the child to self harm or attend rituals.

So how do we know if we are dealing with alters or demons or both?

Demons have entry to the person through the emotional pain and trauma and abuse suffered. If you have suffered abuse you could have feelings of unforgiveness, bitterness, anger, guilt, shame, humiliation, rejection just to name some, and although it seems right that anyone who suffered abuse should have feelings like that, we know that  to have freedom and health we need to forgive the abuser, remembering that they have unresolved strongholds in their lives that have caused them to behave as they have and despite that  Jesus died on the cross for them too as he loves them just as much as us and so as we forgive them , we take away the legal right satan has to torment us.

To bring healing then, we need to bring forth the alter personalities that have held all the pain and abuse and get them to forgive the abuser. Remembering that these alters need to dealt with gently they are not demons and more harm than good can be done if they are treated as such. Once this is done, the demons can then be dealt with.

This process may take some time as the person is able to deal with it and as God brings different things up over a period of time. The alters are part of the soul area which has been split off to cope with the pain, so we need to pray that these areas that had split off come back together into the main personality. This way the person can be the person God intended them to be.

Sometimes an alter may just be there to cope purely with the pain and trauma and once that area has been healed and dealt with, the alter may wish to leave and be with Jesus. This can include generational alters and alters of different sex to the main personality.
