We Are in the Middle of a
War.
We Need to Pick Up Our
Weapons of War and Fight The Battle if We Want to Succeed in
Life.
This war is a spiritual war over our lives, our families, our health, our finances, our peace. Satan intends to
steal, kill and destroy by what ever means he can, it is his intent to destroy man and has been at war with us ever
since God made Adam. Satan is jealous of us because we are made in Gods image and God has poured out his favour,
love and grace upon us. Satan in his jealousy has tried to put rebellion towards God in man. Thank God that God had
a master plan when he sent His only Son Jesus to die on the cross and save mankind.
Satan knows the Bible and is aware that he will loose the final battle, but for the time being He is at war to
ruin as many lives as possible. Satan aims to mislead the unsaved and distort the teachings in the word to mislead
the believer; therefore it is very important to test everything with scripture.
Even then it can be difficult to test especially if you are a new Christian like I was some years back when I
had been given a word of prophesy about something for my ex husband and I was reading:
|
Eze 3:20 “Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness
and does evil, and I put a stumbling block before him, he will die. Since you did not warn him, he will
die for his sin. The righteous things he did will not be remembered and I will hold you accountable for
his blood".
|
I naively felt that after reading this I was meant to warn my ex husband about the prophesy given. I remember
feeling led by fear that if I didn’t warn him he would die, so I went ahead and warned him and as you can imagine
this caused strife and grief. Knowing what I know now, I didn’t feel happy about sharing the prophesy and had
feelings of fear if I didn’t speak out, and this is not how God operates, He operates in love not fear.
Fear is from Satan. This is just an example of how he operates to cause divisions, we really need to know Gods ways
and satans ways and have discernment from the Holy Spirit.
We are not just fighting in this war for ourselves and families but for our nations and cities Satan’s kingdom
has a heirarchy, there are different ranks in the hierarchy. Demons work over nations, governments, and
geographical areas and try to have control over the people in that area, these are called “principalities and
powers”.
In warfare we need to first bind all these ruling spirits. There are demons that are in charge of blinding the
world and keeping them in darkness and these are called “world rulers”. Then there are the wicked spirits which are
the demons assigned upon the church to lie, deceive, cause divisions among, and keep Christians from reaching their
full potential.
Demons are spirits without bodies so they come to make a home in human bodies where they weaken deceive corrupt
and try to destroy and ruin that person. But these spirits have to answer to the authority of Jesus, They are
limited in power compared to God and can only do what God allows them through our own disobedience to God.
Jesus didn’t just die on the cross in our place to bear the punishment for our sins; he also gave us the keys to
every victory we could ever need in this life to live victoriously. Jesus has paid the full price for our sins with
his blood to rescue us from sin and Satan and to bring us into freedom, eternal life and a restored relationship
with God. He now calls us children of God, sons and daughters, prince and princesses, a royal priesthood, and he
gives us his all powerful, name above all names Jesus Christ to use in authority as sons and daughters of God.
Jesus took everything Satan could hand out while he walked the earth as man, so that we don’t have to. He gave
himself totally for us. He suffered everything we could ever suffer in this life, every pain, all the loneliness,
hurt, persecution, sorrow, grief, sickness, and death. By the lashings (stripes) on his body our bodies are healed
because he has born our infirmities for us. He understands all your sorrows and pains because He has suffered them
all already, so you don’t have to.
|
Isaiah 53:3–4 "He was despised and rejected—a man of sorrows,
acquainted with bitterest grief. Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed
him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God for his own sins!”
|
Jesus has done so much for us we could never repay him, Satan has done such a good job to deceive the nations
that they cant see what Jesus is offering, The choice, Heaven or hell, life or death, honor or dishonor, victory or
defeat, health or sickness, forgiveness or eternal punishment, a relationship with God, or to be alone without God
banished to hell and yes! thats another lie satan would have you believe that there is no hell. The Bible talks
quite plainly that there is a hell a place of eternal damnation. It doesn’t bear thinking about to me, the choice
is easy.
The spiritual battle will go on till the end of this age and until then you can ignore that Satan exists, he
likes to make out to people that he doesn’t exist that there is no need to fear him. Unbelievers believe the lies
fed to them by others without questioning or looking into it, they just take on someone else’s views and believe
them. Or he has some Christians in a place where they are not aware of his ways and schemes and ignore him.
If we want to be victorious in life we need to recognise Satan for who he is, the ways he works and know how to
defeat him. We cannot continue to ignore him and let him take captive our families and our lives, we need to take
action and start living the life Jesus suffered for in every way for so we can live victoriously.
